Our biggest year so far in the journey of Giraffe, we’ve ran some beautiful wedding ceremonies, set up some grand events, arranged stunning floral creations and event managed some fantastic dinners and galas. Let’s take a look back at the highlights of the year:

January

We kick-started the year with the Christmas breakdown, taking trips all over town to de-rig the festive decorations and get them put away for the rest of the year. We then got straight back in to the swing of things: chair cover hire, centrepieces and floristry were in high demand for the month.

February

Forever Manchester’s Birthday Bash was held in February. Forever Manchester is a charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester. Proud ambassadors to the charity, our set up of the event included décor and event management.

March

This was a month for flower power! We produced many orders for Mother’s Day, both for local restaurants and also customers.

April

Another busy month for team Giraffe. We created a stunning vase display for a wedding ceremony at King Street Townhouse, supplied floral centrepieces for a christening and put on the ultimate St. George’s day celebration at The Principal Hotel.

May

We worked with 2 Squared Agency in May to deliver the warehouse clearance / sample sale. The event was spread over 4 days of the bank holiday weekend. We hired a city centre store on Deansgate, set up the shop and even got in a DJ to bring some buzz to the event. It was a real success and more sample sales followed in the year!

June

June saw the annual AMET Summer Ball with our returning clients. Bright colours filled the room with our décor, as well as a smoothly run event courtesy of Giraffe’s management.

July

The month began with another successful sample sale for 2 Squared, selling a variety of their designer clothing. July also saw regular flower contract refreshes, an epic festival themed wedding and lots of planning.

August

We headed down to London in August to deliver the exclusive Creative Recreation brand event for client 2 Squared Agency. The event involved influencers, drinks and an awesome music gig!

September

This was a huge month for Giraffe. Andrew our MD joined the team, and we moved in to our new home in Denton. The whole team jumped on board project DIY and completely renovated a former call centre in to a bespoke workshop and office for Giraffe. Together the team created a custom made florist room, prop workshop, storage rooms, meeting area, kitchen and a slick new central hub for the all-important brainstorming!

October

At the end of another month consisting of DIY, events and décor, we had our first new team night out at Manchester Hotelier’s Association Awards Evening, right in the heart of our industry. We sponsored the event and gifted each winner with a Greatest Showman Themed bouquet of flowers, sitting proudly in a top hat!

November

The Christmas creep up month! Before the initial festivities began, we created an enchanted forest theme for client Eldora Eyelashes on their new collection launch. The event was attended by lots of influencers and bloggers and our visual creations was instagrammed to the world! Not long after came the Christmas madness. We supplied and decorated Christmas trees and wreaths to hotels, bars and restaurants all over the region including DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Revolution. We well and truly spread some festive magic across Manchester. Before the month was up, we put on the ultimate wedding at The Principal Hotel across four rooms throughout the day. Cocktails and Dreams, Sweets galore and a polaroid picture wall like no other made the bride and groom’s day.

AMET also had their annual Christmas lunch in November; the team themed the room with some New York glitz and then managed the event.

December

Which brings us to where we are now, December. While Jack looks after the event set ups and flower contracts, Kat, Andrew, Tom, Alice and the team spend 3 weeks in Manchester Central, delivering the ultimate Christmas Parties provided by VIVID Experience. As event managers, team Giraffe run the bars and wine service and event manage the entire evening, from pre-event paperwork to calling the last song of the evening. The last Zulu Sundance Christmas party wraps up on Saturday 22ndDecember just in time for the festive break.
