#GiraffeShowcaseEvening – Thursday 22nd November 2018
After a busy couple of months renovating our new office, and activating the Giraffe expansion, we thought why not host an evening to show off our event and décor services?
After creating individual theme stations around the office, guests were presented on arrival to our floral tree which has been seen in venues such as The Oast House. Guided up by a candle lit staircase; clients (existing and new), friends and family were welcomed by Team Giraffe.
First things first, drinks of course: We created a range of cocktails including Passionfruit Collins, Espresso Martini, and Peach and Raspberry Bellinis for our visitors to enjoy, lit up on the table by a neon American sign.
We created mini themes throughout our office space, showcasing our décor services and theme creations. The first station was a large flower display of Lilies, Avalanche Roses, Gerberas, Lisianthus, Gypsohila and Chrysanthemums. It gently rested on a tall clear vase and was accompanied by a white post box and invitations to represent our Wedding creations.
Next stop through the walkway, people arrived at the Enchanted Forest. Logs, Gates, Lanterns and lots of Ivy was positioned to create a visual representation of what some of our forest themes can look like.
In the middle of the room stood possibly the most popular station, the sweet cart. Hand-made by our own creative Jack, the old-fashioned style sweet cart features in many events both corporate and party. Our guests indulged in some sugary treats throughout the night!
For awards evenings and balls, we often create vibrant themes for companies and clients to enjoy. Our New Orleans Mardi Gras stand showcased this effectively. Feathers, coins and a vintage lamppost were just some of the features.
Finally, a clear pedestal full of disco balls and topped with a giant one resembled our disco and party services and added that extra shine to the room.
As our guests enjoyed socialising and networking with visitors from a range of industries, we provided a selection of canapés to enjoy. Salmon Blini, Duck Pâté, Cheeses and Kabanos all made the list, as well as yummy chocolate coated strawberries and cheesecake pots – which all went down very well!
After tours of the hub, a thank you speech from our MD Andrew, and lots of chatting, we drew the raffle. Congratulations to Tom from The Lowry Hotel who won the Flowers and Champagne.
Thanks to all that attended, we look forward to seeing you and new faces again soon.
